Tasting note: Here the nose is distinctly floral as the stems are in evidence along with admirably pure, ripe and fresh red and dark currant aromas that are tinged in earth nuances. There is fine richness to the attractively textured flavors where the supporting tannins are phenolically mature, all wrapped in a delicious, complex and highly persistent finish. In the same fashion as the 2012 version, this is not a big wine by the standards of Corton, but I like the combination of focused power with a certain refinement.
