2007’ BH Score: 91/Tasted: Jul 01, 2015/Drink: Try from 2019+
Tasting note: Touches of secondary fruit and herbal tea are present on the spiced plum suffused nose. The supple, round and utterly delicious middle weight flavors retain a lovely sense of verve before terminating in a mineral-suffused, intense and lingering finale. This is really very pretty and the class of Les Amoureuses is certainly present though at the same time it’s clear that the exquisite harmony of a great vintage is not present. Note that this could easily be enjoyed now though for my taste I would suggest holding it for a few more years first.

Tasting note: Here the nose is much more reserved if not backwards with a wonderfully spicy and slightly riper blend of red, blue and violet aromas that are also extremely seductive while dissolving into precise, dusty, intense and balanced flavors that offer up even more minerality than usual on the vibrant and driving finish. This should mature over the next decade and drink well for another.
