Tasting note: Here there is enough post-bottling reduction to render the nose impossible to properly assess. The almost painfully intense and super-sleek middle weight flavors brim with both minerality and sappy dry extract that imparts a beguiling texture as well as buffering the firm citrus-tinged acid spine shaping the impressively persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is really quite stylish and a wine that should amply repay extended cellaring.

Tasting note: Here too there is a hint of mineral reduction on the spicier and more floral-scented nose. There is again excellent intensity and minerality suffusing the succulent but powerful flavors that terminate in a compact, serious and built-to-age finish that is already impressively persistent. This is potentially outstanding and well-worth considering.

Tasting note: This too is still carrying quite a bit of post-bottling sulfur so I would repeat my advice to thoroughly aerate the wine first. More interesting are the bigger and richer if not more refined medium weight flavors that possess excellent minerality on the tautly muscular and slightly more tightly wound finale. This offers just a bit more overall depth and is a wine that should repay up to a decade of cellaring. |
