2012’ BH Score: 87 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2015 /Drink: 2019+ /Issue: 59 / ♥ Outstanding
Note: includes some declassified villages wine
Tasting note: An airy and attractively layered nose presents primarily floral, pear and citrus peel aromas that display a background hint of matchstick. The energetic but impressively rich flavors possess a lovely texture, indeed this is finer than most examples of the genre, all wrapped in a saline-inflected finish where the citrus character telegraphed by the nose reappears. This serious effort will clearly need at least some bottle age as it’s presently very tight.
2013’ BH Score: 86-89 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2015 / Drink: 2018+ ,Issue: 59/ ♥ Outstanding
Note: includes some declassified villages wine
Tasting note: A bright and overtly fruity nose offers up various notes of white orchard fruit with top notes of citrus and floral nuances. There is outstanding vibrancy and detail to the saline and utterly delicious middle weight flavors that terminate in a lemony, clean and agreeably dry finale. This should easily reward at least 3 years of aging and perhaps as many as 5. This would make a great choice of a house white.
2015’ BH Score: 86-88 / Tasted: Jun 11, 2017 / Drink: 2019+ / Issue: 67
Note: includes some declassified villages wine
Tasting note: This too is agreeably cool with its fresh array of pear, apple and kiwi fruit aromas. There is once again fine volume to the solidly concentrated flavors where the mid-palate is supple to the point of being almost easy yet the finish tightens up enough to maintain the balance.
2016’ BH Score: 86-89 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2018 / Drink: 2021+ / Issue: 71 / ♥Outstanding
Note: includes some declassified villages wine
Tasting note: An attractively fresh nose combines notes of pear, apple and citrus elements. The delicious and solidly concentrated middle weight flavors possess a beguiling sense of underlying tension before concluding in a complex and lingering finish where the only reproach is a touch of warmth.
2017’ BH Score: 87-89 /Tasted: Jun 10, 2019 / Drink: 2022+ / Issue: 75 / ♥Outstanding
Note: includes some declassified villages wine
Tasting note: A beautifully fresh nose combines notes of freshly sliced lemon with those of various white orchard fruit and a hint of wood toast. There is excellent energy to the detailed and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that possess very good depth and persistence for its level. This is quite good and it’s not hard to sense the influence of the villages level infusion.
