2014’ BH:92-94 ♥ Outstanding,Don’t Miss
Tasting Note: This is arguably even more elegant than the Petits Monts and just as spicy with a gorgeously pure array of violet, lavender, red currant, blue pinot and the same tea-like nuances. There is a palpable sense of energy to the intensely mineral-driven and beautifully well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess knockout length on the impeccably well-balanced finish. This stylish effort is class in a glass. *Don’t miss! Outstanding* (4/2015)

Tasting note: This too is quite aromatically ripe with its overtly floral-suffused aromas, and in particular rose petal, lilac and violet, along with nuances of spiced tea, dark cherry and raspberry scents. There is a beguiling mouth feel to the stony and well-detailed medium weight flavors deliver terrific length on the firm but not austere finale. Curiously though, this isn’t presently as complex as the best in the range and while more will undoubtedly develop with time in bottle, it’s not clear that this is necessarily a standout in 2015. With that cavil duly noted however, I underscore that it’s certainly still excellent.

Tasting note: This too is strikingly floral with its spicy, pure and cool nose that blends attractively complex aromas of both red and dark currant. In the same fashion as the Clos de Bèze, the palate impression of the vibrant middle and overtly mineral-driven flavors is almost delicate yet in contrast to the Bèze, they tighten up on the youthfully austere and gorgeously persistent finish. This is a bona fide ’wow’ wine.

Tasting note: This is perhaps the most floral-infused wine in the range with terrific layering that includes perfumed notes of exotic tea, clove, red and dark fruit and a whiff of sandalwood. The refined, markedly stony and wonderfully delineated flavors possess a beguiling underlying tension before culminating in a palate coating, balanced and firm finale. This is exceptionally classy and I very much like the Zen-like sense of harmony. In short, this is a knockout.
