2008’ BH Score: 87-90 /Tasted: Jun 01, 2010 /Drink: 2014+ /Issue: 39
Note: from 5 separate parcels, the largest of which is Les Tremblots
Tasting note: Malic fermentation aromas dominate the nose at present but have no ill effects on the racy, pure, detailed, indeed even chiseled middle weight flavors that also possess good energy and punch on the lingering finish. A fine if not sensational villages.
2011’ BH Score: 89 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2014 /Drink: 2018+ / Issue: 55 / ♥Outstanding
Note: from 5 separate parcels, the largest of which is Les Tremblots
Tasting note: The expressive and moderately exotic nose of pineapple, white peach and citrus aromas is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is really lovely purity of expression to the energetic and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors that are notably tighter and better focused before terminating in a lightly mineral-inflected, dry and persistent finish. This should also be lovely with a few years of bottle age and is recommended.
2012’BH Score: 89-91 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2014 /Drink: 2019+ /Issue: 55 /♥Sweet spot Outstanding
Note: from 5 separate parcels, the largest of which is Les Tremblots
Tasting note: Here there is more obvious floral and citrus influence to the white orchard fruit suffused nose that introduces cool and pure middle weight flavors that display plenty of underlying tension as well as fine detail on the restrained and markedly dry finish that is moderately austere. This beautifully balanced effort is notably more structured than the average Puligny villages in 2012 and will require a minimum of 3 to 4 years of cellar time before it’s ready for prime time.
2015’ BH Score: 89-91/Tasted: Jun 11, 2017 /Drink: 2022+ /Issue: 67 / ♥Outstanding
Note: from several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs
Tasting note: A pretty and airy nose offers up notes of apple, pear, acacia blossom and both lemon and orange peel scents. There is once again fine volume and intensity to the medium-bodied flavors that possess markedly better complexity on the notably tighter finish that is shaped by moderately firm citrus-tinged acidity.
2016’ BH Score: 89-91 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2018 / Drink: 2023+ / Issue: 71/ ♥ Outstanding
Note: from several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs
Tasting note: A discreet application of wood easily allows the aromas of acacia blossom, lavender, citrus and the essence of white-fleshed fruit to be appreciated. The caressing and quite refined flavors exude a subtle salinity on the refreshing, firm and sneaky long finale. This should make for a very fine villages with a few years of cellaring.
2017’ BH Score: 89-92 /Tasted: Jun 10, 2019 /Drink: 2025+ /Issue: 75 /♥Outstanding
Note: from several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs
Tasting note: A cool, reserved and elegant nose reflects notes of acacia blossom, green apple and plenty of citrus influence. Once again there is very good vibrancy and mid-palate density to the delicious and noticeably saline-infused flavors that exhibit very fine length on the clean, dry and refreshing finish. A high quality Puligny villages that should repay up to a decade of cellaring.
2018’ BH Score: 90-92 /Tasted: Jun 10, 2020 /Drink: 2025+ /Issue: 79 / ♥Outstanding
Note: from several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs
Tasting note: A ripe, cool and pure nose possesses a lovely array of pear, white peach and subtle acacia wisps that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is both good volume and richness to the utterly delicious and seductively textured flavors that manage to possess a beguiling refinement on the clean and dry finish that offers very good persistence and especially so for a villages level wine.
